OncoVerity
Context
OncoVerity was running a Phase 2 AML trial evaluating cusatuzumab combined with venetoclax and azacitidine in patients ineligible for intensive chemotherapy. They needed a partner who could work across the full program — from designing a trial that would enroll the right patients, to extracting the science that would justify what came next.
What We Did
RefinedScience provided comprehensive support across all three phases of the program, bringing scientific and operational depth at each stage.
- Trial Design: Developed and prospectively validated a proprietary risk model that outperformed existing approaches for enriching likely-responders.
- Trial Execution: Built the correlative science plan, created a CRO lab manual optimizing sample collection and preservation for single-cell omics, and ran 500+ assays.
- Correlative Science: Completed long-term responder and indication expansion analysis, and constructed a ~250k AML cell atlas for deep genomic and cellular profiling.
Impact
Our risk model enabled faster, more powerful enrollment by improving the enrichment of likely-responders from the start. The correlative program delivered the scientific depth to support a Phase 3 strategy and generated manuscripts currently under review.
